Beer price 2019

Rising beer prices at Oktoberfest every year are as certain as the sun rises in the East and an annual political issue.

Apparently, a heated debate has been taking place between head of Oktoberfest Clemens Baumgärtner and the beer tent hosts, because Baumgärtner requested a moderate, not drastical rise of beer prices. All Oktoberfest hosts do their own calculations, which account for varying prices and rises. However, the city checks the stated prices for their appropriateness and not all intended prices have to be approved.

Nonetheless, most will not be stopped to order less Maß beer by the rising beer prices. At the end of the day, Oktoberfest is only once a year!

The beer price for one Maß (one litre) at Oktoberfest 2019 is between 10,80 and 11,80 Euro. With an average price of 11,54 Euro.
